Statement of Identity and Purpose:
Twin Pines is a Christian camp, conference and retreat center located eight (8) miles southwest of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, in the beautiful Pocono Mountains. Twin Pines is closely aligned with the National Conference of the Evangelical Congregational Church. Twin Pines has been established for the express purpose of providing a place for the education and enlightenment of people of all ages in a camp setting. The ongoing program of the camp intends to provide ample opportunities for mental, physical, spiritual and social growth so as to promote love of God, home and country. Twin Pines maintains that God is the author of both His Word and His World and that people need to take time to get away from our busy world in order to see God’s signature everywhere and in everything.
Availability of Scholarship Funds:
Twin Pines has limited scholarship funds available to help campers with limited resources have the privilege of the camp experience. Scholarship funds are made available through the generosity of donors who share our desire to make the camping experience available to the most people possible. Since these funds are limited, we cannot guarantee that your request will be granted. We handle requests on an “as received” basis. When the funds are all assigned to campers who have requested assistance, scholarships for that season will no longer be available.
Procedure for Requesting Scholarship Assistance:
The “Scholarship Request Form” below needs to be completed in its entirety. Don’t forget to provide the information that you are directed to provide on the back of the form. Please send this completed form, together with a $50.00 processing fee, and a completed Camper Registration to the address above. The form must be signed by the person requesting the scholarship (either the parent/guardian or the pastor). Incomplete or unsigned forms cannot be processed. If the scholarship is denied or unavailable, the processing fee will be returned.
Notification of Acceptance:
Twin Pines will process your request for scholarship assistance within two (2) weeks of receiving the request in our office. You will be notified as to whether or not funds are available by letter and/or email (if you provide us with your email address). If funds are available, the processing of the registration may take a couple of weeks depending on the time of year and the volume of registrations being processed. When the registration has been processed, you will receive a written confirmation of the date and program for which your child has been registered. Please carefully read the “Preparing For Camp” brochure which will come with the registration confirmation. This brochure should answer most of the questions you will have as you prepare to send your child to Twin Pines.
